"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." (2 Peter 3:18 ESV)

Wow, can you believe it? Next month (May) we will be transitioning into summer of 2025 already! I know that for many people, selecting a book or two to read, or listen to, over the summer is a yearly routine. In this month's blog post, I'd like to get ahead of the game and suggest a few to consider for your summer reading/listening plan.

Of course, regular, reflective reading (or listening to) the Bible must remain. But, reading or listening to an additional Christ-centered book can be a really good way for you to take personal time to grow in your walk with Jesus over morning coffee, poolside or a lazy evening on the porch. Here are four I'd like to suggest. Each one is different. Each one is very enriching. I encourage you to pick one.

Reflective - encouraging deeper joy in God:AWE: Why it matters for everything we think, say and do. Author: Paul Tripp, Publisher: Crossway Books. *available in print, kindle and audiobook on Amazon.

Theological - encouraging deeper understanding of God and His will:God's Big Picture: Tracing the Storyline of the Bible. Author: Vaughn Roberts. Publisher: IVP Books. *available in print and kindle on Amazon.

Practical - encouraging living for God day in and day out:Crazy Busy: A mercifully short book about a really big problem. Author: Kevin DeYoung. Publisher: Crossway Books. *available in print, kindle and audiobook on Amazon.

Historical Classic - encouraging deeper understanding of culture and the Christian living in it:How Should We Then Live? Author: Francis Schaeffer. Publisher: Crossway Books. *available in print, kindle and audiobook on Amazon.

Happy reading or listening friends!
